Reflection

In the begging of this project, I didn't know much about video editing. However, given that I have an iPhone and decided to take advantage of it. iMovie is an exclusive app available strictly to iPhone users. Using this exclusive app would give me the advantage of having a high quality video editor without having to use my hard earned money. At the start, I didn't even know how to add text to a video. However, I have now self-taught myself to be fluent in iMovie. Throughout this experience, I learned how to add text, special effects and music to my videos. This will definitely be useful when creating memory collages of my beloved family and friends. It was definitely challenging to complete this project while having to balance 4 other honors classes and a job. I did however, successfully manage this challenge by taking advantage of every bit of free time I had in my other classes. One thing I wish I did better is figure out how to put a portion of the song in instead of it just going from the beginning to the end of the video. I spent a good 15 minutes struggling to do this because the video ended right before the best part of the song. This was somewhat upsetting because of my adoration of the song. In the end I decided to look at this challenge as a blessing because it gives me even more room to improve. It also keeps that part of the song sacred and protected from being overplayed. I also wish I used better videos. I feel my videos were sub-par at best. However this is to be expected. Given my undying fear of being put in front of any camera, I think I did great. Of course, others will say the videos were rubbish, but I feel I can agree with both sides without being contradictory. In summation, I feel that I've grown over the course of this project, but there are some flawed aspects I hope will not be present in my next project.
